In 2020, we saw a number of entrepreneurship and nonprofit high school teams competing on RoundPier for a chance to win cash prizes and promote their unique ventures.
This summer, we are excited to launch our second Annual Entrepreneurship and Nonprofit Competition on the platform! Our team is inviting students with a business or non profit idea / plan to participate in the competition. The total prize pool is currently at $350.
Rules of the Competition:
- There is no registration fee to enter the competition.
- Only Middle and High School students are eligible to participate. You can be based anywhere in the world.
- Each team must have at least 3 members.
- All team members must be registered on RoundPier (join and build your personal profile if you aren’t a member).
- A team must create its own private RP group — go to Groups & Clubs — -> create new Private Group. Or if you would like to participate as a club or chapter create your club under Clubs & Chapters tab. If you register a club make sure to indicate the name of the club and school / for independent teams, please add a name of your project / company / organization as a name of the private group you create to participate in this competition.
- Once your group or club is created go to Competitions Menu and register for RP Entrepreneurship and Nonprofit competition by July 15th here: www.roundpier.com/groups/competition/20
- All teams will receive additional guidelines on how to prepare and submit their presentations during the first week of the competition.
- If you don’t have a team but have an idea reach out to some students here on RoundPier to build your team; we are also happy to help you connect with other students here on RP.
Some additional details:
- One idea / business plan per team.
- Each team to submit pitch deck by the end of July. We will provide some examples of pitch decks. Every team will receive individual feedback on their business plan.
- Top teams will present to the judging panel during our final live event in early August. All finalist teams will be featured in our community as well as outside social media. The winning teams will receive additional support and advice should they decide to proceed with their idea.
